The Indigenous Art Code is an independent body that works with artists, art centres and buyers to preserve and promote ethical trading in Indigenous art. COVID-19 has had unique impacts on Indigenous communities. The Indigenous Art Code’s current “OUR ART IS OUR LIFELINE” campaign proposes that now more than ever buying Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art ethically will help artists and communities through a crisis that's far from over. I developed a social media strategy and launched and managed the brand's Instagram channel. In addition to this, I developed various paid social media campaigns to drive awareness and designed social assets to locate the artists on the land. The Indigenous Art Code saw an 85% increase in followers over two months.
